This is my new bird feeding station. If I have to be in the house for the next two months, I might as well have some way to keep in touch with nature. I know it is not fancy, but I hope it will attract hungry birds anyway. It is nice to be able to look out the window and see signs of spring. Maybe soon I will be able to sit outside for short periods of time.
Nor do we have two heads or carry leprosy. We walk among you unnoticed until normal little everyday things force us to fall apart in public and reveal ourselves. This is my place to vent my frustrations, wallow when I need to and discover a new future because the unthinkable did happen and my husband died suddenly at 38 leaving me and our two little babies under the age of two behind.

That’s so nice. Why have I never thought of doing a water dish before? At least that’s what that looks like? I usually put grape jelly in a dish for the Orioles, but now I’m adding a water dish! Thank you! 🙂
It came with a water dish otherwise I might not have thought of it either. I can’t wait for the birds to start coming. I know it will drive my dogs crazy if nothing else.

My husband used to feed about six neighborhood squirrels before he died. I figure why not let the birds get some food. I love to watch them and hear them sing!
It’s great fun to watch the birds and it looks like you’ll get quite a share with those goodies set out for them. The water is a great idea, too. 🙂 Be sure to let us know who shows up to eat!
My kids want to get me a book of birds known to be in the Chicago area. I will keep everyone updated of what I see.
That sounds great! Then you can keep track of the birds that visit you, and share with us! I’ve heard that if you get humming birds, they will return the next year. Hope you see lots of beautiful birds!!
